CPQ is only as good as what it connects to.
We do not implement CPQ as a standalone quoting tool. A configurator that does not agree with PLM, CRM and ERP just moves the complexity downstream instead of removing it. Every CPQ implementation we run is scoped against your broader system landscape from day one.
Where CPQ sits in the state chain
CPQ owns the first stretch of the Configuration Management state chain: RFP / RFQ through As-Quoted to As-Accepted. What happens after that, As-Designed, As-Planned, As-Built and As-Maintained, belongs to PLM and ERP. Implemented well, the hand-off between them is seamless. Implemented as an island, it is where quotes stop matching what actually gets delivered.
Built to integrate, not to isolate
The same configurator, wired two ways. On the left every hand-off completes. On the right the tool is fine and the landscape around it is not, which is where the re-keying, the drift and the quotes that do not match delivery come from.
PLM
Product structure and engineering data flow into CPQ instead of being re-modeled by hand, so quotes reflect what can actually be built.
CRM
Quotes stay attached to the opportunity and the account, so sales history and configuration history do not live in two places.
ERP
Accepted quotes hand off cleanly into planning and production, instead of being re-keyed at the next system boundary.
See it work
A working configurator, running in your browser. Change the dimensions and the model, the bill of material and the price all move with them, because they are derived from the same rules rather than maintained separately. That is the whole point: one definition, three outputs.

Derived from the configuration, not typed in: 6 panels of 2.33 m, 8 posts and 24 clamp sets. Change a dimension and every one of those moves with it.
Demonstration only. A generic mesh panel fence, used because it is easy to recognise. Prices are illustrative round numbers, not a quotation.
Building toward a platform partnership
We are building a partnership with Configo.ai, chosen because it is built to integrate rather than to stand alone, the same principle behind how we scope every project.
